Loving Wife, mother and grandmother passed away November 14, 1994 at home. After surviving breast cancer she was in remission for 5 years before being diagnosed with bone cancer. After a 2 year battle she finally succumbed to the illness.
She had an outgoing personality and no one could mess with her grandkids. She always took their side no matter what. She was dangerous with a credit card. Drop her off at a store with her cards and she could do some shopping. I don't think she ever left a store empty handed. Always buying gifts and gadgets whether she needed them or not. If she found a pair of shoes she liked, she would buy multiple pairs in several colors.
She loved to read especially her gossip magazines. Anytime she came across an article of advice that she thought would help one of us she would cut it out and give it to that person. She always had newspaper clippings in her purse or wallet.
She had her own special song she sang to her grandchildren when they were little to put them to sleep: (hopefully I didn't forget anything)

"Nanny loves her little (girl/boy)
Poop a do
Nanny loves her little (girl/boy)
Poop a do
Nanny loves her little (girl/boy)
Poop a doo ooo ooo
Nanny loves her little (girl/boy)
And that's you. "

She leaves behind her husband of 43yrs, Vito; Two daughters, Gloria Piro and her husband Guy and Debra Antonucci and her husband Genaro; Four grandchildren, Jennifer Piro, Christina Piro, Gena Antonucci and Matthew Antonucci; a twin sister, Florence DeMichele.
