California, and arrived in New York, New York, on December 22, 1884. He married Annie Shelton, daughter of William Edward Shelton and Mary Thorp, on April 2, 1895, in Alameda County, California; the marriage ended no later than 1900. The couple had two children, both sons who were born and who died in California, namely:

(February 29, 1896, Oakland, Alameda County - May 5, 1960, Santa Clara County) and
KARL ERWIN KLOSE
(March 9, 1897, Oakland, Alameda County - July 31, 1965, Lafayette, Contra Costa County).
Emil married the widower, Agnes (Aitken) Brown, daughter of James Aitken and Margaret Scott, between 1910 and 1920; they were married until his death. The couple had no children together.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral tomorrow (Friday) at 3 o'clock at the Masonic Temple, Oak street and Van Ness avenue, where services will be held under the auspices of Mission Lodge No. 169, F. & A. M. Friends may call at White's chapel, Sutter street, northwest corner of Pierce."
According to his death certificate, Mr. Klose was a Steam Operator at Allec's Cleaning & Dyeing Co.; his wife, Agnes Klose, was the informant; and the couple lived at 1359 McAllister Street, San Francisco. Further, he was cremated at "Cypress Lawn", which is located in Colma, San Mateo County, California; however, he is not interred there.
