Brownye Hodges Smith
Mrs. Brownye Hodges Smith, age 91, resident of Kilmichael, died of heart failure, Monday, March 7, 1994 at Winona Manor Nursing Home.
She was the widow of the late Lloyd W. Smith.
Mrs. Smith was a retired store clerk and a member of Kilmichael United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, , Billy Hodges of Kilmichael; four stepsons, Lloyd Smith of Vardaman, Raymond Smith of Blaine, Washington, Gordon Smith of Searcy, Arkansas and Roland Smith of Bruce; her sister, Mrs. Jessie Brooks of Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at Kilmichael United Methodist Church Wednesday, March 9, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Walt Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Kilmichael Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Lane Greenlee, David Hodges, Rodney Mortimer, Clyde Burton, Bobby Williams, and Y.M. Lott, Jr.
Lee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
