Husband of Elise (Ritchot) Proulx
Served in Canada during World War One, first with the 101st (Winnipeg Light Infantry) Battalion, regimental number 700557. On enlistment, he claimed his year of birth was 1873. He later transferred to the 183rd Battalion, regimental number 871787, discharged for medical reasons (over age and defective hearing) in April, 1917. He re-enlisted with the 10th Canadian Garrison Regiment for service during 1918.
