Eileen Harper was born March 20, 1930 in Regina, Saskatchewan. Eileen is survived by her husband, Norman, of 68 years on September 23; her son, Donald Edward of Oliver; daughter Geraldine May Gerl of Calgary; grandsons Les & Mike Slimmon, Cory & Norman Warriner, Andy & Darcy Gerl.; grand daughters Tanya (Warriner) Morris and Shantelle (Warriner) Graham and numerous great grandchildren. Eileen was one nine children to Lorne & May Harper. She was predeceased by all her siblings, Marguerite, Bill, Evelyn, George, Violet, Eileen, Wes, Clifford, & Shirley. The family has many nieces and nephews. Eileen & Norman married & lived in Heward until Norman secured a job with CP Railway. Eileen's father lived to the age of 90 & her mother to age of 102. The Slimmon's had their first born Donald, 1949 in Biggar; Rose, 1951 in Filmore; Geraldine, 1954 in Estevan. Being employed by the railway meant many moves throughout Saskatchewan until 1981 when the family moved to Regina where Eileen began working & Norman quit the railway to work at Crown Lumber. Upon retiring they relocated to Vernon, British Columbia where they enjoyed outings and a yearly trip to visit in Saskatchewan. Eileen was active with interests in embroidery, bowling, and curling. She was dearly loved by her husband and will leave many fond memories with family & loved ones.
