He was a son of the late Alton Joseph and Helen Inez Pleasant.
He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara E. Pleasant, and son-in-law, Craig L. Starrett.
Mr. Pleasant is survived by his daughters, Lynn P. Starrett and Janet P. Vanco (George E. Vanco III); son, Kevin E. Pleasant (Deborah); sister, Nellie Ann Barfield; brothers, Johnny Pleasant and Tommy Pleasant; grandchildren, Brian C. Sox (Jessica) and Laura E. Young (Matt) along with numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with entombment to follow in Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
