Philip J. DeConinck Sr., 95, died Monday December 17, 2018, at Beverly Hospital after a brief Illness. He was the husband of the late Yanina S. (Gorczyca) DeConinck. Born in Everett, he was the son of the late Jacob F. and P. Barbara (Brenner) DeConinck.
Mr. DeConinck graduated from Everett High School class of 1941, Salem State University and Bentley College. He completed General Electric apprenticeship program in 1945 and left GE to work with his brother in law for ten years for Kemtron Electronic Products. He worked as a manufacturing Engineer for Gillette for over 25 years retiring in 1986. He enjoyed reading, traveling, spending time with family as well as being an active member of the Beverly/Salem Lodge of Elks B.P.O.E. 1309.
Surviving him is a son, Philip J. DeConinck Jr. and his wife Lori of N.H.; a daughter Judith A. Maniatis and her husband Richard of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, Julie Deon, Alexander Maniatis, Cheryl Dufour, Stephanie Maniatis, Bethany Papcostas, Kate DeConinck, Daniel DeConinck; four great-grandchildren, Julia A. Papacostas, Audrey D’eon, Damien Philip Dufour and Eliana Patricia Papacostas. He was predeceased by four brothers, Frederick J., Edmund F., Robert A. and Paul J. DeConinck.
