Actor. Born as Georg August Friedrich Hermann Schulz. He was the second son of Deck officer August Friedrich Schulz and his wife Anna Auguste Wilhelmine Glander.
George visited the Secondary school of berlin but didn't finished it. He had his theatrical debut In summer 1912 in the town Kołobrzeg where he played a waiter in the Operette Die keusche Susanne (Chaste Susanne). After 1914 He fought in world war one where he was heavily wounded in 1915. After the end of the war he played in different Theaters like 1917 and 1918 in the Albert-Theater in dresden and 1921 in the German theater (Deutsches Theater) in Berlin. In 1921 he made his first movie together with Ludwig Berger. After 1921 he became more and more famous in the weimar republic. He was later a member of the Association of Associations of German Students and of the communist party of germany. He played in some theaters under the leading of Bertolt Brecht and Erwin Piscator. In 1923, he founded the actor theater with the actors Elisabeth Bergner and Alexander Granach in order to be able to work more independently as an artist. In 1926 he played the role of Grot, the guardian of the heart machine in the Cult film metropolis.
He was a colleague and good friend of the actor Albert Steinrück for whom he organised a Commemoration After his passing in 1929. In 1930 he played the main role in a theatrical adaption of Götz von Berlichingen. During the organization of the Play he searched for someone who could play the role of Adelheid von Walldorf. He later found actress Berta Drews for the role. Heinrich and Berta Drews later began to dating and later they got married. Both had a son in 1931 which they named jan george, in 1938 both had a second who was named götz after the götz of Berlichingen and who later became an actor too. After the nazi takeover in germany in 1933 he was banned from stage for a short time but he later came to terms with the Nazi regime and assumed an active role in Nazi film and radio propaganda until 1945. he played in well known propaganda movies like Hitler boy Quex from 1933, jud süß from 1940 ,kolberg from 1945 and many others. In this time he became a symbol of the Nationalsocialistic state. This led to his imprisonment after world war two by the soviets who took him into NKVD special camp Nr. 7 in Sachsenhausen like other many other prominent people who worked together with the nazi regime. He later continued to play on the stages in the prison. Some time later his health got worse because of the Living conditions in custody and he later losed much of his weight and suffered from abdominal pain and at last he died in 1946 after an appendix surgery. As his official cause of death were listed pneumonia, Appendicitis and heart failure. He was buried outside from the camp in a special place because the leaders of the camp liked his acting work. In 1994 his remains were found and identified with DNS comparisons to his two sons. Georges remains were later brought to berlin were they were buried in an honory grave in the zehlendorf cemetery.
