Cora Pickering was the daughter of Levi and Cynthia Pickering, early day Pioneers of Greene Co., TN who came to Indian Territory, OK in 1879. Cora would later move to Quay Co., NM with some of the family.

Miss Cora Pickering, age about 36, and sister of J.D. Pickering of Tucumcari, died last Sunday at the Pickering Ranch near Quay. She was buried at Quay on Monday. Sadly, there is no gravestone.
