Spot was one of those dogs that you couldn't pass on. My son Jason wanted this dog so much, while we were building our new home. But we already had Tazzy Crain. Finally I gave in and well the rest is history that I live each and every day in her memory.

When the kids moved on Tazzy, Spot and Buddy became mine and after Tazzy died, Spot and me were inseparable. Spot is so funny, I wrote "is" because she will always be with me. She 's funny, loves to play, my confidant and my best friend. The many joys I had (have) with this little friend, is so cherished in my heart.

A little interesting info; Spot didn't know about cats, so the night before we finally moved into the house that I built, Spot was outside, sleeping on an old mattress to be discarded. During the night the temp freakishly dropped a little and it snowed about 2 inches. When I had awaken, I went outside and I saw Spot curled up in a ball, I called her name and up popped her head and another and another and another! Spot had curled up with three cats. They took off.

Another incident, Spot was standing at the front door with the full glass and Tazzy was sitting as well. Suddenly Tazzy started barking and growling carrying on. Spot looked at Tazzy, looked at the cats, looked at Tazzy and then went into a tyrant barking and growling.

Finally, one night while I was watching the stars through a telescope, the dogs were playing in the backyard and they would come to me and I would reached down and pat them on the head without looking. I patted Tazzy, Spot, Buddy and a fourth. Hmm...who was that, I looked out in the yard and they were playing with a skunk! Naturally I went inside and one by one they came into the house through the doggie door. Ooops- so did the skunk. Gave him the treat that everyone else got and away he went. Thank goodness.

Spot suffered from seizures and in September she had 2-one each day Saturday & Sunday and a stroke included which caused paralyses. She managed to pull through with the aide of God and the vet. She was doing better, until October 16, 2007 when she suffered another stroke.

I fought to keep her alive throughout the night. I finally held her in my arms and comforted her, sadly Spot passed away in my arms at 4:00 A.M. 10.16.07

I rocked her in my arms until 10:00 A.M. when I finally relinquished her earthly remains. When I had her cremated, no one was allowed to handle her or to start the cremation, except me.

Her ashes will be buried with Tazzy, Buddy, KitKat, memory of O.P., Snoopy and me.

The tears I shed for this little dog are endless and I hope once again the six of us will be united. Some people and religious experts claim dogs do not go to heaven, if that is the case, send me where they are. My soul is with Jesus, but what happiness could I have, without Tazzy, Spot, Buddy, O.P., KitKat and now Snoopy.

It's just KitKat, Snoopy and Me walking now, we are so lonely without you. My heart is like a cave, dark, echoing the past that I so miss.

I LOVE YOU BABY SPOT, YOU SURE DO HAVE ME WRAPPED AROUND YOUR PAW! All of US will cross Rainbow Bridge.

Love Dad

I believe this writing sent to Buddy by GeorgiaCa is most appropriate for all of our friends;

"I have done mostly what men do, And pushed it out of my mind; But I can't forget, if I wanted to, Four-Feet trotting behind. Day after day, the whole day through Wherever my road inclined-- Four-Feet said, 'I am coming with you!' And trotted along behind. Now I must go by some other round-- Which I shall never find-- Some where that does not carry the sound Of Four-Feet trotting behind."~Rudyard Kipling
