Marjorie was the daughter of Thomas Kennedy and Margaret Anne (Kennedy) Kennedy of Detroit. On Nov. 21, 1916 she married Sylvester Leo Hall, who worked at the Smith Brothers Hardware Company in Columbus, Ohio, owned by his father. The couple lived for many years in Columbus. They had two children together: Leo Edward "Chub" Hall and Marjorie Catherine "Sis" Hall Walsh Witherspoon.
