Asberry's death certificate shows that he was a son of Monia Cameron. He lived in East Vernon District. Cornelius Cameron of Chipley, Harris Co., GA, was informant. Asberry was buried in "Bulah Cemetery."

Asberry Cameron was a son of General Cameron and Mourning ("Monia") Cameron, whose name was also spelled Minerva. General Cameron registered to vote in Troup County in 1867. The 1870 Troup Co., GA, Census, HH 31/31, showed Genl. Cameron, 26, Farm Hand, GA; Manerva, 25, Farm Hand, GA; Asberry, 10, Farm Hand, GA; Martha, 8; Millie, 6. General Cameron, age 60, born February 1840, was still living in Troup County at the time of the 1900 census. Show with him were daughter Carrie, born February 1879; son Emerson, born January 1882; son-in-law Dennis Catholic, born May 1875; and three grandchildren, Annie, Francis, and Dennis Catholic. They were living in LaGrange District, HH 179/174, near Asberry Cameron, HH 169/171: Asberry Cameron, May 1856, widowed; Mollie, daughter, June 1882; Corniller, July 1884; Bedford, June 1885; Joseph, July 1887; Sarah, September 1890; Rachel, June 1892; Ada Boyd, 22, widowed, border.

General Cameron and wife Mourning also appeared as parents on the death certificate of Tom Cameron , who died in 1936.

1. Asberry Cameron, born 1861.
2. Martha Cameron, born 1862.
3. Millie Cameron, born 1863.
4. Tom Cameron, born 1869/1870.
5. Ellen Cameron, born 1875, married Louis Hill.
6. Carrie Cameron, born 1879, married Dennis Cathey (also spelled Catholic). The family moved to Coweta Co., GA, and later to Wayne Co., MI, where Dennis Cathey died in 1927.
7. Emerson Cameron, born 1882.
8. Abraham Cameron, born 1884.
