Mrs. Gwen Leyshon Called By Death
Mrs. Gwendolyn Leyshon, 65, wife of Dan Leyshon, Fruit avenue, passed away at the family home at 6 p.m. Thursday, after a brief illness of one day. She had awaken Thursday Morning in seemingly good spirits, but as the day passes she complained of not feelng well. Death came without warning, causing a shock to her wide circle of friends and acquaintances, by whom she was beloved.
She was born September 21, 1865, in Johnstown, Pa., coming to Farrell 27 years ago.
She was a member of the First M.E. Church, the Ladies' Aid, Chapter 156, Order of Eastern Star, Invincible Sisterhood, 112 Dames of Malta, Buhl Circle 480 P.H.C., and a past templar of the Ladies of the Golden Eagle.
Beyong her husband she is survived by two daughters, Florence, a teacher in the Washington annex, Gwendolyn, a teacher in the J.A. Farrell building, on brother, Ellis Michaels of Farrell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 Sunday from the late home, in charge of Rev. H.M. Stevenson. Interment wil be in Morefield Cemetery.
