Mrs Eppie Adams Dead
Mrs Eppie Adams died at the home of her brother, Mr Edward Elder, Monday morning at 5 o'clock, after a lingering illness with tuberculosis. Her death was somewhat unexpected although it was known that she could not survive long.
Mrs Adams was the widow of the late Captain Irby Hudson Adams of Eatonton, who died some years ago. She was forty-seven years old and was a noble Christain woman, and having been reared in Barnesville as Miss Elder, she had scores of warm, personal friends among the people of the community. She was unusually bright and happy and from her youth up, drew many admiring friends and companions.
After the death of her husband she moved back to Barnesville and has since made this her home. She is survived by two daugthers, Miss Nell Adams and Maud Adams, sister, Mrs S K Cook; and three brothers, Edward Elder, Euce Elder, and Emmett Elder.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and was a shining example of a bright, cheerful, useful Christian worker. Her death causes much sadness of the city, all of whom extend deepest sympathy to the bereaved relatives. The body was carried to Eatonton Tuesday morning to be laid away beside that of her departed husband.
