Rosalie Lupo Carter, age 93, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, in Metairie, Louisiana. She was born on Tuesday, November 1, 1927, in Amite, Louisiana, to Peter Lupo and Rose Jacomo Lupo. Rosalie enjoyed life and loved puzzles, word searches, crocheting, sewing, cooking, bingo, watching the Saints and LSU and going to casinos, but she especially loved spending time with her family.

Rosalie is survived by her daughter, Linda Palmisano and her husband Michael, her grandchildren, Danielle Carter Harper and Devin Carter, her sisters, Mary Lupo Hyde, Josephine Lupo Stevens, and Francis Lupo Durio and her brother, John Lupo, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Lupo and Rose Jacomo Lupo, her husband, David Carter, her son, Dennis Carter, her grandchild, Dennis Carter, Jr., her brothers, Sam Lupo, Joe Lupo, Gill Lupo, and Pete Lupo, her sisters, Ella Catalanoto and Constance Giardina.

A Visitation for Rosalie will be held on Friday January 15, 2021 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating Rosalie's Life will immediately follow visitation at 11:30 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond.

Face masks are now mandatory to attend any visitation or service at the funeral home. Thank you for your cooperation.
