Bentley “Benny” Campbell, 60, of Grant Town, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 25, 2021 surrounded by his family at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born August 11, 1960, a son of Thomas and Ruby K. Campbell.

Benny was employed by Cummins Construction in Frederick, MD for 20 years. He attended the Church of God of Prophecy at Metz. He didn’t take to everyone but he instantly became close to his Uncle Cecil, Aunt Carol and brother Jerry and Susie Garrett. He was so proud that through the Holy Spirit, Uncle Cecil led him to the Lord, so now he has an eternal home in Heaven.

Survivors include his wife: Cindy Slater; sons: William (Kayla) Runion, Michael (Stacey) Runion, and daughter: Bobbie Runion; 9 grandchildren: Shianne Stire, Alyssa Dye, Gabriella Lake, Gage and Amber Runion, Jacob and Jeremiah Fridley, Jase and Emma Runion great grandchildren: Laryah, Kira, and Nicole Policano, and Paxton Hughes; several nieces and nephews; sisters: Evelyn (James) Mayo and Betty (Michael) Williams; and a brother: Gary (Vivian) Campbell. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Dolly Ann Mitchell, Doris Long, Mary Riggs, and Delphia Mitchell; brothers: William and James Campbell; nieces: Sharon Mitchell and Joan Long; and in-laws: Olive Cross and John Slater, Sr.

Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home, 500 E. Main St., Mannington on Monday from 12-2 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Howard, Jerry Garrett, and honorable mention of Bishop Wilbur Shaffer. Cremation will follow. www.hutsonfuneralhomes.com
