ANDERSON--Naomi Ruth Jones, 82, passed away on Feb. 19, 2021 at the Bailey Center in St. Augustine, Florida.
Naomi was born in English, Indiana on March 13, 1938. When she got married, she moved to Anderson, where she lived most of her life.
She has been a member of Southdale Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years. She enjoyed her work at the Christian publishing house, Warner Press, where she retired after many years.
Naomi is survived by her sister, Margaret Rose Standriff; son, Donald Kevin Geater; daughter, Ruth Ann Hall; three grandchildren; as well as a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. G.R. and Margurite Bateman; and siblings, Freddie Bruce Bateman, James Alton Bateman, and Beulah Mae Prather.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W 53rd St., Anderson. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Brad Buhro officiating. Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery.
