January 03, 1935 - March 05, 2021
Dolores G. Kauth, age 86, formerly of Kiel died peacefully on Friday evening, March 5, 2021, at Homestead Care Center of New Holstein with her husband, Tony, by her side.
Dolores was born on January 3, 1935, in Kiel, daughter of the late Rudolph and Elsie (Kautzer) Wendling. She attended SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Grade School and was a graduate of Kiel High School. She married Wallace Miesfeld and together they had two children, Denise and Pam. On October 27, 1971, she married Anthony “Tony” Kauth. They would have celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary this October. Dolores was an active member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the Christian Mother’s. She looked forward to her gatherings with the Kiel Ruby Rockers. Dolores loved to go thrift shopping with her daughter Denise and couldn’t wait for the garage sales. She also loved gardening and her roses were beautiful. Dolores and her sisters always attended 4:00 Mass together. Whenever possible, they would also get together just to enjoy each other’s company, and that always meant lots of talking and laughing. For many people she was their Avon lady.
She is survived by her husband of almost fifty years: Tony Kauth; two daughters: Denise (Rick) Grunewald and Pam Miesfeld; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Dolores is further survived by her siblings: Sylvia Anhalt, Barbara Schwind, Rudolph Wendling, Diane Twohig, Nancy (Robert) Weir, Elsie Arnold and Charlotte Dedering; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law: Mary A. Vogel, Margaret Voss and Joe (Sharon) Kauth, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home (815 6th St, Kiel) on Thursday, March 11, 2021, from 4:00PM until 6:00PM when a Prayer Service will be held. She will be laid to rest at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
A memorial will be established in Dolores’ name at Divine Savior Catholic School.
