Henry A. Allard , 65, of 572 Thacher St., a shipper for Swank Inc. for 15 years before retiring three years ago, died yesterday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital after a three-day illness. He was the husband of Cecile C. (Salvas) Allard .

Born in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Leo and Adrienne (Barrett) Allard .

Mr. Allard previously worked for the Attleboro Public Works Department. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a former member of the Moose. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church.

Besides his wife he leaves four daughters, Diane Rose of East Providence, Colleen Peach of Berwick, Maine, Theresa Coady of Pawtucket and Miss Tina Allard of Attleboro; three brothers, Philip Allard of Pawtucket, Axzarias and Eugene Allard , both of Attleboro; a sister, Beatrice St. Germaine of Attleboro, and seven grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the Stephen H. Foley Funeral Home, 126 S. Main St., with a funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, South Main Street, at 10. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
