Mary Shurr, widow of the late John Shurr died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James E. Bryan. She was a good and faithful Christian and died at the age of 72. resident of Marion for 10 years, she came from Cardington with her husband in the early 1880s. Funeral was at her daughter's home and burial was at Marion Cemetery with the Rev. Hillman of the Epworth M. E. Church officiating.
