He is survived by his children: Waylis, Tommy, Patsy Locklear, Frances Locklear and Marion; his siblings: Layton, Ralph, and Lorrean Chavis; his friend, Mayola Locklear; fourteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
The funeral services will be held in Reedy Branch Baptist Church. The burial services will be held in the church cemetery.
