In loving memory of beloved Mother and Nunu, Charlotte Ann Leder Croft, 83, who passed away unexpectedly in Houston Texas on March 12, 2021.
Charlotte was born on December 22, 1937, in Pampa, Texas, to Frank and Rose Leder. At an early age, Charlotte lost her mother, father, and baby brother within a two year period. Soon after their passing, she and her sister, Marlene, moved to Houston, Texas, where their Uncle Willy and Aunt Mary Nussbaum raised them.

After moving to Houston, Charlotte met her childhood sweetheart, Kenneth Croft, at San Jacinto High School. They married after graduation and spent over 60 years together. During those years, she raised three children, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, finding joy in spending time with everyone together.

Charlotte became a beautician by trade. However she did not just cut, set, color or perm people's hair, she became your friend and confidant. With over 40 years of experience, she built a clientele of hundreds who followed her wherever she worked. She even opened up her own shop for a short time which allowed her to enable her 3 children to graduate from college and her eldest son to graduate Podiatry School. Charlotte and her husband's biggest wish in life was to provide their children with everything, especially a good education, which was not always available to them growing up.

Her warm persona, kindness, and artistry was not limited to the beauty shop chair. She found creative outlets in drawing, flower arrangements, decorating her house and even helping her children turn in the best projects in the class.

Charlotte was quite popular among people in the Houston area. No matter where her family went, someone recognized her and greeted all of us as if we were family. Anybody who knew Charlotte could not help but love her. She was a phenomenal person, who always knew how to make everyone feel special. Friend, Mom, Wife, Nunu, and Great Nunu she was always somewhere, talking to somebody. Everyone will hold her in our heart as much as she held them in hers.

Charlotte is survived by her sister Marlene (Eldred) Sinkoe; sisters-in-law Evelyn Laviage and Barbara (Art) Squires; her three children, Rodney (Shari) Croft, Marla (Craig) Berkowitz, and Fara (Marc) Koren; her grandchildren, Scott (Natasha) Berkowitz, Ryan (Katy) Berkowitz, Caryn Berkowitz, Stephanie Koren, Cameron Croft, and Kaylee Croft; her great grandchildren, Ariel, Jackie, and Nataleigh Berkowitz; and her close friends and relatives, Gloria Leder, Linda Levy, Helen Abrams and Sam and Roxanne Gold. Charlotte was predeceased in death by her parents Frank and Rose Leder, her baby brother Bruce, her husband Kenneth Croft, and brother-in-law, Charlie Laviage; and her best friends Judy Richker.
