Sue Ellen Ash,
age 77, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away late Sunday night, March 14, 2021 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.
She was born September 22, 1943 in Newton, Kansas, daughter of the late Ray Allison & Lillian Jeanette (Smith) Cave.
Sue Ellen had worked as the District Manager for Hallmark Stores and the Clinton County Historical Society, where she passed on her passion for Family History. She attended First Christian Church-Disciples of Christ in Wilmington and was a member of the Federated Church of Whitewater in Kansas. She volunteered a lot with the Wilmington United Methodist Church and all of their committees and especially with the Girl Scouts, where she was a leader for over 10 years.
Surviving are her husband- Ronald L. Ash; daughter, Ellen Lee of Wilmington; son- David Ash, Wilmington; 2 sisters- Carolyn Fisher, of Whitewater, KS and Marilyn Ghere, of Sedgwick, KS; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sue Ellen was preceded in death by her daughter- Angel Ash; brothers-in-law- Monte Fisher & Wayne Risch; sister-in-law- Betty Dowd; and nephew- Steve Fisher.
Funeral Services in Ohio will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the First Christian Church-Disciples of Christ, 120 Columbus Street, Wilmington with Pastor Tom Stephenson officiating. The Family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 PM Saturday at the Church. Masks and social distancing are requested.
Funeral services in Kansas will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Federated Church of Whitewater, Whitewater, KS. The family will receive friends from 1:00 -2:00 pm at the church. Interment will follow in the Whitewater Cemetery.
The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family with the Ohio arrangements and the Lamb Funeral Home in Whitewater, Kansas is assisting the family with the Kansas arrangements.
