Michael "Iron Mike" Roskovski, 89, of Linsdale Drive in Butler died Sunday, May 15, 2005, at the Sunnyview Home. Born May 8, 1916 in Joliet, Illinois, he was a son of the late Michael A. and Ann Ferjo Raskowsky He was a retired Steel worker at Butler Armco. He retired as 1st. helper in the Melt Shop on May 30, 1981 following 45 years service. He was a member of the Armco Veterans Club. As a young man during the depression, he worked in Civilian Conservation Corps or CCC in the Bedford Pennsylvania area. He was a life long member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora until the church closed, and was presently a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian. His wife, Vera Canan Roskovski, whom he married April 10, 1940, survives him. Also surviving is a son, Michael W. "Mickey" Roskovski of Cape Canaveral, Florida. 5 sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth Korcheck of Lyndora. Mrs. Ann Poprovsky of Lyndora. Mrs. Lloyd (Margaret) Rettig of Butler. Mrs. George (Dorothy) Stefanko of Lyndora. Mrs. Michael (Charlotte) Aquilino of Frederick, Maryland. 3 grandsons: Shawn Roskovski of Butler. Scott Roskovski of Butler. Derek Roskovski of Butler 4 great-grandchildren: Chloe, Canan, Jacob, and Sophia Roskovski. 3 brothers and 2 sisters preceded him in death
