DALLAS — Grievers squeezed inside Cornerstone Baptist Church on Tuesday to mourn through song and prayer the loss of a mother and her three children found murdered in their Lubbock apartment Oct. 25. Murdered were Tammy Cooper, 45, Mahogany Jasmine Allen, 11, and 9-year-old twin boys, KaDiece and Kasheim Allen.

The Rev. John Williams, pastor of Wesley Memorial Church in Lubbock, remembered the children fondly during the eulogy. He and his wife picked up the children on Sun days to attend his church services on Idalou Road.

Pallbearers carried the caskets of Cooper and her three children out of the church after the three-hour service. They were placed in four white hearses and driven to Lincoln Cemetery for internment.

A family friend found the family violently beaten to death inside the Windcrest Estacado Apartments in East Lubbock. Investigators believe Cooper let a black man into her home at about 11:15 p.m. the night before the family's bodies were found.
