He was on location in Florida and flew to her funeral services at the Little Church of the Flowers at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park. She was born in Evansville, Indiana and was known for her philanthropic work in Los Angeles, California and Missouri. She and her late husband, Dr. Charles C. Cummings founded the Jasper County, Missouri Tuberculosis Hospital and was instrumental in establishing the Health and Welfre Association and Parent-Teacher Association of Jasper, Missouri.
