Mrs. Elizabeth Ertel, 76, of 2619 N. 26th St., died early Sunday evening at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
The former Elizabeth Hermann was born Nov. 30, 1906 in Schaefer, Russia, a daughter of Frederick and Elizabeth Henze Hermann. She came to Sheboygan with her family in 1912 and attended Trinity Lutheran School. On April 30, 1927, she married Gottlieb Ertel at Trinity Lutheran Church. Mr. Ertel died Feb. 4, 1971.
Mrs. Ertel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Volga Aid Society and the Aid Association for Lutherans.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Lillian) Seipel; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; three brothers; Fred, Henry and Phillip Hermann, and two sisters, Mrs. Frieda Sizonen and Mrs. Molly Wuethrick, all of Sheboygan.
She was preceded in death by a brother. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. The Rev. Lawrence A. Schmidt, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate.
Entombment will be in Garden Terrace Mausoleum at Lutheran Cemetery.
