Assessed in Newtown, Tioga County (that portion that later became Elmira, Chemung County), New York in 1799 with a house and farm. Henry and family removed to Catharine, Tioga County (that portion that became Schuyler County. Samuel Satterly and Brice Broderick (both brother-in-laws) signed as witnesses March 7, 1800 when Phineas Catlin and David Culver, overseers of the poor, placed Joseph Hall, a poor child of age 8 years and 4 months, as an apprentice with Henry Baldwin, farmer. Samuel Satterly was a brother to Henry Baldwin's wife and Brice Broderick was married to a sister of Henry's wife. Enumerated in Catharine in 1800 with one male of age ten and under age sixteen (b. 1785-90), one male of age twenty six and under age forty five (b. 1756-74), three females under age ten (b. 1791-1800), and one female of age twenty six and under age forty five (b. 1756-74). Assessed in Catharine in 1800 with 100 acres. Enumeration and assessment was next to Samuel Satterly (Satterlee, etc.) who lived on the hill east of what is now Montour Falls. They were assessed in Catharine in 1801 with 100 acres. Assessed in Catharine in 1802. They returned to Newtown and were assessed there in 1802 and 1803. Enumerated in Elmira, Tioga County (that portion that became Chemung County), New York in 1810 with two males under age ten (b. 1801-10), one male of age twenty six and under age forty five (b. 1766-84), three females under age ten (b. 1801-10), three females of age ten and under age sixteen (b. 1795-1800), and one female of age twenty six and under age forty five (b. 1766-84).

Surrogate court record is one year and one month after date of death and one would suspect that perhaps the year of death is incorrect and Henry died in 1814 versus 1813.
