Lemon "Mark" Calvin passed away at his home unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. He was born to Elsie Calvin and James Thames, who both preceded him in death. Lemon has five siblings, four of which preceded him in death; Joe Lee, Eric, James (Mickey), and Micheal. His only sister, Debra, is still with us today. Mark found Christ at an early age and continued to study and be spiritually supportive throughout his adult life. He also had a passion for music. He found an interest in playing the guitar and joined a band. Along with his passions, he had a 30 + year career in truck driving. Mr. Calvin was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force.Lemon met Beftu in December of 2013 and they wed on February 17, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Beftu Calvin; his daughter, Jessica Calvin;his sister, Debra (Chuck) Stallworth and a host of nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great- nephews, aunties, uncles, and cousins. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday April 1, 2021 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL. Intermittent will follow in the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
