THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, Sept. 24, 1981: 'Mrs. Lillie, M. McElyea, 86 of Honey Grove, formerly of Paris, died Monday, Sept. 21 in a Bonham hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 23 in the Steele and Thomas Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Terry Bloss and Haskell England officiating. Burial was in Long Cemetery. She was born July 19, 1895, a daughter of John Allen and Pricilla Carman Hoskins. She married James [W.] McElyea Nov. 24, 1919 in Detroit. He preceded her in death. She is survived by one brother, John Hoskins of Bagwell; three sisters, Nancy Seay of Longview, Maudie Westmoreland of Wichita Falls and Violet Waterman of Honey Grove.
