COX, James Jr. - of Clio, age 74, died Monday April 5, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side. A graveside service will be held 1PM Saturday, April 10, 2021 at West Vienna Cemetery with full military honors. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating.
James was the first born son of James and Bernice (Long) Cox Sr. born on March 5, 1947 in Flint, Michigan. Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1966 until he was honorably discharged in 1968. Jim enjoyed hunting, trips to the casino, taking photographs, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are wife, Sherry (Coutcher) Cox; Daughter, Lynette (Calvin) Earegood; Son, James (Kelly) Cox III; Daughter, Linda (Mike) Christopher. Grandchildren: Tricia, Mercedes, Chelsea, Cristina, and James IV. James also had 5 great grandchildren; sister: Sue Larry of Mt. Morris, brother: Tom (Cathy) of Swartz Creek, sisters: Mary (Kevin) Howe of Clio, Brenda (Steve) Heyink of Genesee, Robin (Mark 'Skinner') Kidd of Wells, Michigan, Shirley (Jeffrey) Frank of Mt Morris; many nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly.
