Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late James and Ada Smith Gillespie.
Barbara was a member of Bible Heritage Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed cooking big dinners for large or small gatherings but most of all her biggest love and joy came from caring for her family.
In addition to her husband, Horace, of 42 years, she is survived by daughter Dana Martin (Richard Wright); son, Brad Cisson (Jill); five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Charping (Gene); numerous cousins; and her life long special friends, Bobbie Galloway and Linda Matthews.
In addition to to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Patricia Hunt and daughter, Pam Cisson.
Burial in Graceland Cemetery West.
