Henry Mathews was my GGGgrandfather. A lot of people called him "Henry Mathis". He was born in Virginia in February 1784. He married Martha "Patty" Norris, daughter of James and Mary Mason Norris of North Carolina. Henry and Martha's children were: Tempe (born: 1805 in GA); Abner (born 1807 in GA); Eli(born;1809 in GA); Isaac (born 1810 in GA); William (born 1813 in GA); Martha(born 1819 in AL); Arthur(born in 1822 in AL); Mary(born 1825 in AL); and Serina (Sebrina, Born 1827 in AL). Henry owned a lot of land and a plantation in Harris County, Georgia.
