Nola Faye Watson Edgmon, 82 of Springdale, passed away Monday, Oct. 29 (2007) at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born November 1, 1924 at Shiloh, the daughter of Flemon and Annie Self Watson.

She was married to Clarence Dewayne Edgmon, February 27, 1944. She was a loving wife and loved her children and grandchildren very much.

She was a lifetime member of Shiloh United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Dewayne; her parents; four sisters, Sarah Watson, Fine Doughtit, Ader Reynolds and Mellie Carney; three brothers, John Watson, Francis Watson and Lewis Watson.

She is survived by three sons, Freddie Edgmon of Springdale, Virgil Edgmon and wife, Carolyn of Elkins and Pete Edgmon and wife, Mary of Mossville; two daughters, Orpha and husband, Darriel Bowen and Betty and husband, Johnny Creekmore, both of Harrison; one brother, George Watson; four sisters, Nancy Sams, Leta Rylee, Ida Willis and Mae Neal; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Shiloh United Baptist Church with the Reverends Donnie Villines and Robert Huber officiating. Burial will be in Mossville Cemetery under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale.

Pallbearers are grandsons, Phillip Bowen, Kerry Edgmon, Ronnie Edgmon, Kevin Creekmore, Shawn Creekmore, Timothy Edgmon, Dewayne Edgmon and Devon Bevins.

Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters, Rita Rogers, Peggy Young, Misty Edwards, Leisa Foster, Kristie McGinnis, Monica Edgmon and Ashely Colvin and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 31 at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.backstrom-pyeatte.com




She attended a reunion my husband and I hosted a few years ago, I was able to meet and visit with her for a short while.
