Willious Cathey age 95 of Dardanelle died Monday, April 26, 2021 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville.

He was born November 28, 1925 in Rover, Arkansas to the late Thomas Steele Cathey and Carley E. Green Cathey. He is a member of the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ and was an avid reader of his Bible. Willious enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing harmonica. He carried his harmonica with him and played for people. He loved turkey and deer hunting with his friend, Joe Taylor. He was an Army veteran and he served in WWII in the Philippines. He was a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carley Cathey; father, Thomas Steele Cathey; five brothers, Hays, Milburn, Thomas Wayne, and Raymond; five sisters, Virgie Cochran, Pauline Pelt, Zerlene Williams, Leola Tyler, and Bonnie Reece; sister-in-law, Mary Lazenby; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at New Bethel Cemetery with Bro. Bruce Swanson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Crawford, Everett Jarnagin, Don Pelt, Tommy Pelt, Craig Race, and Bentley Smith.

Honorary Pallbearer is Joe Taylor.
