In 2001, Joanne dedicated her life to Christ. She attended church until her illness took control, but her faith continued through her struggles. Joanne was a cancer warrior and NEVER complained but smiled through her pain.
Joanne enjoyed life, shopping and her family. Joanne loved to get her hair and nails done. She would never leave the house without her outfits being on point. She treasured walking her grandchildren to the bus stop each morning while listening to their funny stories about school. You could easily spot Joanne attending her grandson's football games as she could often been seen running up and down the field yelling, "come on defense we need a stop" while their team was playing on offense!
Joanne was preceded in death by her mother, Pollie Ann Scott; her siblings, John Thomas and Marilyn Rochester.
Joanne is survived by her father, Roosevelt Scott, Sr.; her loving children, Tamika Jeter (Derek), Shawn Scott, Kajuan Scott, Tariq Delong (Kay), Tiaquajua Delong and Tyshae Delong; her love bugs, Timothy, Bria, Branden, Saniyah, Najia, Isaiah, Joi, Nasir, Londyn, Peyton, Phoenix, Harrison, Taj, Autumn and Lynnox; one great love bug, Chance; her siblings, Barbara Thomas, Roosevelt Scott, Jr. (Rochelle); Paul Scott and James Garrett; several nephews, nieces and other relatives that will greatly miss her presence.
