Mr. Emerson is survived by wife, Sandra; a son, Charles Jr.; his mother, Mrs. Maxine Hamblin; his father, Reece; his maternal grandfather, Manuel Sayers; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Omar Emerson; a sister, Mrs. Llllle McGee, and a brother, James E. Emerson. Services are at 10 a.m. today at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 835 York St., Newport, Ky.
