Mrs. Ida P. McAlexander, 62, employee of the Greenwood Leflore Hospital, died last night at 7:30 o'clock at the local hospital following a short illness and operation.
Funeral services will be held at Williams and Lord Chapel Saturday morning at 10 o'clock conducted by Rev. C. J. Olander. Burial will be in Bethlehem cemetery near Winona with Williams and Lord in charge.
Mrs. McAlexander had resided in Greenwood the past 15 years. She was identified with the local hospital five years. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include two sons, M-Sgt. Joseph T. Kent. Bossier City, La.: Wilburn H. Kent, Greenwood; three daughters, Mrs. Jesse J. Quinn, Mrs. B. L. Buchanan, Miss Lula Frances Kent, all of Greenwood two brothers, Hugh Cox, Winona; Oscar Cox, Sacramento, Calif.; 5 sisters, Mrs. Ola Notch Roseville, California; Mrs. Ben C. Penn, Mrs. Mollie Gahan, both of Greenville: Mrs. Daisy Woodruff, Freeport, Texas; Mrs. Dan Jones, Lambert, also 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: J. R. Sanders, P. J. Eckles, J. G. Colson, George Young, L. H. Applewhite, and James L. Lary.
