Dorothy (Barklow) Grant, age 90, went home to her Lord and Savior on May 21, 2011 after a brief illness. Born in Columbus, Ohio to parents, Marvine and Benjamin Davidson. Dorothy was a graduate of West High School, class of 1938. Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ada "Sis" Huntzinger; first husband, George Barklow; second husband, Richard Grant; and step-son, Daniel (Suzanne) Grant. Survived by daughter, Beverly (Fred) Thomas and grandchildren, Tara and Matthew; son, Jeffrey (Jean) Barklow and grandchildren, Christopher, Benjamin, Andrew (Michele) Gough, and great-grandchildren, Mason and Sawyer Gough; brother-in-law, Robert Huntzinger; step-son, Ronald (Sue) Grant; step-granddaughter, Ann (John) Sebastian; cousin, Nancy Galkowski; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff at Doctors West Hospital for the loving care given to Dorothy in her last illness. Family will receive friends Monday, May 23, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery, London, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dorothy's memory to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 5200 Sullivant Ave., Columbus, OH 43228.
