Miles W. Biery, 78, former trustee of Sheffield Township, died Feb. 3, 1977, in Westminster Health Center, West Lafayette. He formerly lived on Newcastle Road near Dayton. Born and educated at Dayton, he farmed in that area and was employed as a foreman at Fairfield Manufacturing Co. for 35 years. Mr. Biery served as Sheffield Township trustee for eight years, 1955-1963. In 1930, he was married to Florence Bartley and she survives. He was a 63-year member of the Dayton Memorial Presbyterian Church and had held various offices of the church. He was a member of the Dayton Community Club and a 50-year member of Dayton Masonic Lodge 103. Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Donna (Mrs. Richard) Palacious of Goshen; two sisters, Helen (Mrs. Joseph) Kerkhoff of Lafayette and Ethel (Mrs. Harold) Moore of Rossville; and a brother, J. Kenneth Biery of Lafayette. Service was held Feb. 6 at Dayton Memorial Presbyterian Church, Rev. Kurt Kremlick officiating; internment Dayton Cemetery.
