Milner Benefactor Ethel Moore Dies
ROSSVILLE - The woman who donated the land for the Milner Community Health Care Center here is dead at the age of 84. Mrs. Ethel Biery Moore of Rossville died at 11:25 p.m. Friday in Clinton County Hospital, Frankfort, Indiana. She had been in failing health for three years.
Born at Dayton, she was a graduate of Dayton High School and Winona Lake College. In 1917 she married Harold C. Moore, a farmer and Rossville town board member for more than twenty years. He died in 1968. Mrs. Moore donated ten acres of land in early 1969 for the Milner Center, which opened in 1970 and is now home for 94 residents.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church, Ross Township Home Economics Club, and Moose and Elks auxiliaries of Frankfort, Indiana.
Surviving is a sister, Helen Kerkhoff of Lafayette. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Five brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call 5-9 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home, Rossville. Service at 10:00 a.m. Monday in Brown Chapel, the Rev. Thomas officiating. Interment in Rossville Cemetery.
