Fridolin Schrieber, 83, died unexpectedly this morning at his home, 678 Migeon Avenue. Dr. H. B. Hanchett, medial examiner, said death was due to coronary occlusion.
Mr. Schreiber was born in Alsace-Lorriane and lived in Torrington for the past 56 years. He was employed as a polisher by the Union Hardware Co. for 47 years, retiring seven years ago.
Mr. Schreiber was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. His wife, Melanie Ruffenach Schreiber, died Dec. 30, 1941.
He is survived by two daughters, Miss Frances M. Schreiber and Mrs. Emile Zybala, both of Torrington; two sons, Charles F. of Stratford and Fridolin F. Schrieber of Torrington.
