Mrs. Brooks was a Teacher for the Hopewell Valley School District for 30 years until her retirement in 1992. She was very active in her community having served on the Board of Trustees of the Ocean City Historical Museum, a member of the Ocean City Arts Center, Friends of the Ocean City Pops and a NJSIAA Swimming and Diving Official and St. Peter's United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband: James W. Brooks , four children: Jamey B. (Kurt) Stofko of Barnegat, NJ, Susan B. (Jon) Gaspich of Tuckerton, NJ, John "Jack" W. C. (Kathy) Brooks of Marmora, NJ, Peter J. (Laurie) of Little River, SC. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Matthew and Bethany Stofko and Brooks Gaspich.
Her funeral service will be offered Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock from The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ where friends may call from 10 o'clock until time of service. Burial will follow in Seaside Cemetery, Palermo, NJ.
The Family suggest those who desire send memorial contributions to either St. Peter's United Methodist Church, 501 East 8th Street, Ocean City, NJ 08226 or the
Endowment Fund of the Midatlantic United Methodist Foundation, PO Box 820, Valley Forge, Pa 19482.
