Abraham Jr. was born on the plantation of his parents and named after his father Abraham Sr. and his great uncle Abraham(who lived at Heirs House near Colne, Lancashire, England).
Shortly after the Civil War (but not until 1864 that Abraham Sr. was notified that the remainder of Christopher's and Uncle Abraham's inheritances were awaiting him, no effort was made to obtain the money until 1866) is when Abraham Sr. sought to sell his properties in England and needed help in doing so, he asked his son Abraham Jr. and a son-in-law, Capt. Cuyler Walter Hilliard, to undertake the task, which required a trip to England.
That is where Abraham Jr. met and married his 2nd wife Laura Williamson.
They came back to Ware County and lived until his death (1870),...
