Anton was raised on the Mack family farm and educated in the Karlsruhe area. After completing his education, he helped with the family farm and ranch until he took over the family farm. On October 29, 1951, he was united in marriage to Magdaline "Maggie" Schiele at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Karlsruhe. The couple made their home and raised their family of 9 children on the family farm. In addition to his ranching and farming, Tony also drove school bus for many years and would enjoy going to bull sales. He loved the land and everything about ranching and farming and took pride in everything he did, including having a perfectly wrapped hay bale. After his retirement and his two son took over, he continued to stay active and drive tractor until he was 88 years old. Tony never wanted to leave the farm and he was lucky that he and Maggie never had to. In his later years, he loved to take care of the kitties in the yard and when he wasn't outside, he enjoyed watching Bonanza and Gun Smoke. He was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Eagles and served on the church board and the township board. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather that was happy with the life he and Maggie had, but was ready to now rest.
Anton is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Maggie; children, Beverly (Ted) Bossert, Sidney (Lynda) Mack, Shirley Mack (Loren Schmalz), Bruce Mack, Sheila Olson (Gary Schell), Scott Mack, Bettina (Andy) Telehey and Sheldon Mack; 19 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren with a set of twin boys on the way; daughter-in-law, Maria Mack; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
