Last rites for William Oscar Edison, whose death Sunday reduced the ranks of company B, 48th Indiana infantry, which saw service in the civil war, to two survivors, were held in the residence, 1408 South Michigan street, this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. F. H. Longwell, of Stull Memorial Methodist Episcopal church officiated and burial was made in Rea cemetery, near North Liberty, this county. The two remaining members of company B are William Bare and William Rupe, both of this city.
