Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Lee Gonzales will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Humble Baptist Church, with Reverends Joey Ducote and Hardy Estes officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Branch Cemetery, Pitkin under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pitkin.
Mrs. Gonzales, 82, of Mittie entered eternal rest on Monday, September 30, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Hospital, Lake Charles, LA.
Bertha was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Humble Baptist Church and enjoyed babysitting, quilting and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe O. Gonzales, Sr.; her parents, Jessie and Ella Ashworth; her son, Willie Ray Perkins; two daughters, Genlee West and Linda Faye Doyle; her grandson, Terry Wayne Droddy and her granddaughter, Jessica Victoria Gonzales.
