He was preceded in death by his mother Ellie Faye Johnson, his father Jesse Leon Ashworth, and a son, Mervin Audis Ashworth; as well as his wife Wilma Joyce Ashworth, and a grandson, Chad Cannon Ashworth II.
He leaves behind his daughters, Brenda, Sheila, & Frances Mazeau; as well as his sons Morris, Chad, Patrick, & Perry Ashworth.
