Frank R. Burke, 72, of Craigsville, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, in Butler County Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 26, 1935, in Coylesville, a son of the late Richard and Margaret (Sweeney) Burke.

He first worked at Burke Brothers Garage, then retired from Moonlight Mushrooms after 26 years. He spent 22 years in the National Guard and was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville. He was also an avid NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his sons, Robert (Pamela) Burke, of Craigsville, and Mark Burke, of Worthington; daughters, Diane (John) Bargerstock, of Worthington, and Gail (Jack) Blose, of Cabot; grandchildren, Jake, John and Miranda Cousins, Jesse Burke, Kate, Sam and Jacob Bargerstock, and Brian, Jason and Rick Blose; five great-grandchildren; sister, Irene McLafferty, of Fenelton; and companion, Mary Kroneberg and her family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie (Williams) Burke, on
July 1, 1993; and five brothers, Hugh, John, James, Joe and Harold Burke.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME in Worthington. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. John's Roman Catholic Church with Father Ken Kezmarski as celebrant. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
