Rodney David Boozman passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021. He was 65 years old, two weeks shy of his 66th birthday. He was born June 1, 1955, in Alexandria, Louisiana, the third child of Curtis Earl Boozman, Jr., and Mary Ellen Smith Boozman. He was a lifelong resident of Natchitoches.

Rodney loved to travel. He was always ready for a trip, whether it was Disney World, the Alamo, a Caribbean cruise, or a casino anywhere, he was ready to go. He was always planning the next adventure. Rodney was a collector. He collected caps, t-shirts, post cards, snow globes, and friends. Rodney never met a stranger. He was a true people person. He loved nothing better than to be with friends and family and he was always the life of the party. But life was not always easy for Rodney. Nevertheless, he dealt with adversity by engaging everyone he met with his humor and fun-loving personality. He will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Mary Ellen Boozman. He is survived by his sister, Patricia (Patsy) Boozman Arceneaux and her husband, Bill, and his brother, John Boozman and his wife, Emma. He is also survived by one nephew, Scott Arceneaux and his wife, Jennifer, and one niece, Erica Boozman Chandler and her husband, Josh, as well as three great nieces, Elizabeth Arceneaux, Laken Chandler, and Palmer Chandler, and one great nephew, Alexander Arceneaux.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include David Breazeale, David Dollar, Mike Guilliams, Tommy Melder, Sonny Melder, and Don Bernard.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Courtyard of Natchitoches and Hospice of Natchitoches for their wonderful care and attention to Rodney during the last year and his final days. You were truly a blessing!

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Rodney's memory to ARCO located at 901 N 4th St. Monroe, LA. 71201.
